  3. After 5 minutes rinse your hair with some warm water and do this repeatedly as directed by the doctor or as one pleases.
  4. Then dry your scalp and hair.

Precaution measures.

Avoid using the ketoconazole shampoo if your scalp is swollen or broken. Rinse thoroughly with water if it comes into contact with your eyes and if the condition worsens and treatment doesn’t work contact your doctor for more help.

Other negative side effects that may occur include skin irritation in form of pimples, oiliness or dryness on the hair or scalp and abnormal hair texture.

Effectiveness of ketoconazole shampoo

Once you use Ketoconazole shampoo change may not be instant, however, within a period of 4 to 7 days changes should start being visible. Some of the key changes visible include less irritation and reduced symptoms of dandruff with little or no side effects.

Any product that is manmade cannot luck a little backlash. The most common one is itchiness on the scalp, a stinging sensation, dry skin and sometimes blisters. Despite that most of these reactions don’t persist for more than a week.

If you are suffering from server dandruff or itchiness I would recommend the use of shampoos containing ketoconazole. The main advantage of this shampoo is that it has no harsh smell and it lathers well on wet hair. However, if you have a hair condition and you aren’t sure of what treatment you require it is highly recommendable that you talk to a doctor in order to get a diagnosis. The shampoo may be useless if you don’t have itchiness and dandruff.
